Join Artist Caroline McKinney for a one day workshop, Painting the Figure in Watercolor, Sunday, January 31, 1:30-5:30p.m. at the River Arts Center in Morrisville. Caroline will offer demonstrations and guidance for using simple washes, values, and color principles to make the figure come alive. Pre-registration required, $45 fee.
McKinney, whose work is on exhibit in the Copley Common Space Gallery at River Arts through February, has devoted her artistic time to watercolor for the past four years. She is an active member of the Board of Directors at River Arts, and founding member of its Open Studio Figure Drawing program. A graduate of Pratt Institute, McKinney has had a wide-ranging visual arts career which includes founding the ceramics program at Johnson State College, working as a production potter, and working as graphic designer for Sargent and McKinney Advertising. She currently lives and works in Morrisville, Vermont.
