Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg will be hosting its eighth annual Celebrate The Arts Night on Thursday, January 7th! From 6:00-7:30 p.m. you can enjoy a visual arts show of over 450 pieces created by students currently enrolled in arts courses. Every student from CVU’s Intro through Advanced Placement Studio Art will be showing a piece they feel best represents their work from the semester. We are pleased to announce that for the first time we will have artwork from Allenbrook, Williston Central, Charlotte Central, Shelburne Community School and Hinesburg Community schools as well! Also on view will be practical artwork made by CVU Technology Education, Business Education and Fashion Design students. At 6:00 enjoy music from CVU’s Jazz Ensemble at “4-Corners”, at 6:20 Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus and Madrigal Singers perform in the “Science Lobby.” From 6:30-7, there will be demonstrations in the Technology Education rooms. At 7:00, in the CVU Theater, notable performances will be given by Concert Band, Public Speakers/Actors, Symphonic Band and Chorus. Family and Consumer Science classes will provide free refreshments. There will be art activities for the whole family! New this year! Start off the night with the Italy Trip Fundraising Dinner, with seatings between 5:30 & 7 pm. $10/meal, tickets sold in advance.
