Start the year off right with a walk in the woods, co-sponsored by the Hogback Mountain Conservation Association and the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum. Mike Clough will be leading the hike – picking the route based on input from the group. What do you want to see and do? Look for animal tracks? Identify winter trees? Look for evidence of the farms that were on the mountain in the late 1700’s and 1800’s? Bring snowshoes if there’s significant snow on the ground. Meet in the parking lot just west of the gift shop on the south side of Route 9.
