A Midsummer Night's Dream Comes to South Burlington in Jan.
Come spend a warm midsummer’s day with us in January and laugh at “what fools these mortals be.”
The magical practical jokes played by a feuding king and queen make mischief with the mortal world. Their spells yield improbable love affairs and transform a band of comical tradesmen in the most unlikely ways. In the enchanted wood of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it’s clear “the course of true love never did run smooth.”
William Shakespeare's most popular and enduring comedy is directed by David Bailey and presented by the Frederick Tuttle Drama Department in association with the First Light Theatre Project. The production features 25 talented actors who are also musicians, dancers and singers in this adaptation.
Performances are Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9 at 7 p.m. in the South Burlington High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 ($6 for seniors and kids under 16) and are available at: https://red.vendini.com/ticketsoftware.html?t=tix&e=de0fe1f0519318905a0027ed0a4ba83d or at the door starting at 6pm on the nights of the show.
