Friday, January 8, from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Windham Regional Woodlands Association presents a tour led by Tim Morton, State Forester, and Long View Forest Contracting, of an active timber harvest at Molly Stark State Park in Wilmington. The harvest uses a combination of harvest machine felling and hand cutting designed to improve snowshoe hare habitat while being sensitive to trails and park infrastructure. Dress for winter conditions; bring snowshoes.

Directions: From Brattleboro: Exit #2, I-91, 15 mi. W on VT Route 9

RSVP to tim.morton@vermont.gov so he can reschedule in case of bad weather or if the timber harvest hasn’t started yet.
