Pathways Vermont's Supportive Service for Veteran Families program works hard all year to ensure that Vermont veterans have a stable place to call home. We invite you to join us this Saturday, December 19 at our College Street offices for a day of giving back.
This holiday season we are serving more than 30 veteran households that are struggling to make ends meet. This includes 27 men, 8 women, 7 teenagers, 8 elementary aged children and 6 toddlers. Many of them are recovering from a recent episode of homelessness, others had been precariously housed. They are among the 56 homeless veteran households find permanent housing in their local community and the 58 households avoid falling into homelessness. Join Pathways in spreading holiday cheer and welcoming them home for the holidays with a gift basket full of needed items and special treats!
We are also seeking donations of small items to be included in the gift baskets. We are seeking the following requested items:
-$10 gift cards to local supermarkets, drugstores and superstores
-TRACFONE phone cards
-Small household items - such as cooking utensils, oven mitts, alarm clocks, kithcen towels and flashlights
-Cold weather accessories - such as warm socks, mittens, gloves and hand warmers (men's, women's and children)
-Toiletries and personal hygiene products
-Cleaning Supplies
-Art supplies and small toys
We will be assembling the gift baskets this Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at 125 College Street in downtown Burlington. You are welcome to bring any of the above or other items but most importantly BRING YOURSELF!
