Join the Green Mountain Club on Monday, Dec. 21st at 7 pm to hear Kristin Gates talk about being the first person to solo traverse the Brook's Range in Alaska. Kristin has hiked thousands of miles throughout the United States, paddled the Yukon River solo, and is planning to snorkel the Northwest Passage next year as part of the SEDNA Epic to raise awareness of global climate change. As part of the GMC's annual Taylor Lecture Series, Kristin will take us through encounters with grizzlies, wolves, and getting to see America's last great wilderness. Check out her blog, milesforbreakfast.com, for a sneak peak at her adventures.
