Policy, schmolicy, let’s have fun at this month’s meeting of the Burlington Walk/Bike Council!
Everyone loves a feel-good movie, especially at Christmas! Come to Contois Auditorium in City Hall on Thursday, December 17 at 5:30 for a FREE showing of the movie Wadjda, presented by the Burlington Walk-Bike Council.
This first feature film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia is the story of a young girl living in a suburb of Riyadh determined to raise enough money to buy a bike in a society that sees bicycles as dangerous to a girl's virtue. While it deals with many issues of Saudi life, we’ll be showing it to celebrate the simple joy of riding a bicycle. The film is in Arabic with subtitles; 1 hour and 40 minutes. PG rating for Thematic Elements, Brief Mild Language and Smoking.
Any questions, please contact Stu at the Walk/Bike Council at 862-2980.
Hope to see you there!
