The Colchester School Board will hear another FY’17 budget update this week. Administration has presented an approximate 4% increase over the current CSD budget. This does NOT mean a 4% increase in Colchester’s school property taxes. The actual amount Colchester tax payers will pay is strongly influenced by decisions made in Montpelier. Several of those decisions, and how they reduce that 4% increase, will be discussed during the meeting this Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00. The Board will also hear an update on the proposed use of the remaining STEM lab bond funds for CHS theater renovations.
