Interested in education, ecology, leadership, and mountaineering in distant lands? Come learn about a local initiative to create an Ecological Leadership Program for a university in Kyrgyzstan! Hinesburg resident and UVM graduate student Nathan Fry will share a slide presentation and video about his efforts to create a new type of experiential education for the American University of Central Asia that combines outdoor adventure and environmental education for a new generation of Kyrgyz leaders. Stop by the Town Hall on Friday, December 11th at 6:30 pm for naan, tea, and an hour of new ideas! Admission is by donation - monetary donations to assist with funding efforts or gently used outdoor gear (tents, sleeping bags, canister stoves) to help with building the program's gear fund are appreciated!
