Relocalizing Vermont: Carbon Pollution Tax for Vermont?

Past event
Dec 10, 2015, 9 to 10:30 AM

Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio--a debate on proposed legislation to tax carbon pollution in Vermont.

9:00 - 10:00 am
Last week, Rob Roper and John McClaughry of the Ethan Allen Institute debated Paul Burns of VPIRG and Jon Erickson of the Gund Institute at UVM on whether to tax carbon pollution in Vermont. The debate was held in front of a standing-room-only crowd at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier. We'll listen to part of the debate and comment on it--probably with a special guest in the studio.

10:00 - 10:30 am
Resilience Thoughts, a locally told Extempo story by Dennis McSorley ("Santa Claus is Coming?"), plus upcoming events related to energy, food, and the local economy at the end of the age of oil.
