The 30 member UVM Brass Ensemble will present “Winter’s Warm Welcome” concert on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, 7:30 pm in the UVM Recital Hall, on the Redstone Campus- Free Admission. We are a student run brass ensemble made up of majors, non majors, alumni and community members getting together to share our love for brass music. Come join us for a night of fun brass and percussion music. The group is directed by AJ Banach and Mei Endo, and conducted by Larry Solt. The music featured on this concert include: Film Music of John Williams (Raiders March, The Imperial March, Superman March, 1941 March), Minor Alterations (Christmas through the Looking Glass), Gliere’s Russian Sailors Dance, Mussorgsky’s The Great Gate of Kiev, Barber’s Adagio for Strings, and Choral works arranged for Brass- Ubi Caritas (P. Mealor), and O Magnum Mysterium (M. Lauridsen).
