Rain Barrel Workshop

Past event
Oct 1, 2013, 6:30 to 8 PM

The Friends of the Winooski River is hosting a Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop at the Barre Aldrich Library on Oct 1st from 6:30 to 8:00.

Rain barrels capture water that runs off your roof and into the nearest storm drain. Capturing the water to reuse on lawns, trees, shrubs and flower beds prevents flooding, reduces pollution in the local streams, and helps save money on your water bills. The demonstration is free on a walk-in basis, but advance registration (by Sept 27th) is required if you want to build your own barrel. Cost is $30, and all materials and tools will be provided. Be prepared to take your barrel home that evening! Space limited to 20. To register, call 882-8276 or email info@winooskiriver.org.
