New Haven's Armchair Naturalist Program: "Tales from the New Haven River Walker"
Featuring UVM Field Naturalist Sonia DeYoung.
Thursday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the New Haven Town Office (78 North Street). Admission is free.
In July 2015, Sonia walked the length of the New Haven River, from its headwaters in Lincoln to its confluence with Otter Creek in New Haven - about 25 miles. Over six days she met watershed residents of all ages and professions. They told her about their lives along the river, invited her into their homes, and opened her eyes to the many ways a river can move us. Come listen, learn and ask your own questions as Sonia shares her stories from the experience and how it has influenced her graduate work at UVM.
Sponsored by the New Haven River Conservation Commission.
