The Caledonia Grange #9 in East Hardwick presents its monthly community Contra Dance this Saturday, December 12. The festivities begin with a potluck supper at 5:30. This month's supper will include a very special treat -- a performance of "Animals in Winter" based on the poem by George Dennison. It features a talented troupe of young local actors directed by mother/daughter team Denny Partridge and Rose Friedman.
After the play, the contra dancing will get underway about 6:30. Local legend Chip Hedler joins us this month to teach and call the dances. Live music will be provided by favorites American Toad. No experience is necessary to enjoy this traditional New England style of dance. Admission is $7 per person ($4 apiece for additional family members).
