It’s Old-Fashioned Holiday Party time in Charlotte, Sunday, December 6. Take a brief trip back in time to explore yesteryear celebrations. The Quinlan Schoolhouse on the Town Green will be open from 1 – 3 with a traditional, unlighted tree, hot and cold cider, an assortment of delicacies to eat, and an old-fashioned craft of pomander balls to make if you choose. What’s a pomander ball? An orange, artfully studded with cloves, an ancient tradition, revived this Sunday, to naturally scent your home now, and throughout the year to come. Please join in this no-cost community celebration for all ages! Families may want to use the one-horse sleigh out front for a photo op. Climb aboard – sorry, no horse hitched up this year!
