Join us Saturday Dec. 5th at the Ripton Community Coffee House for a concert with Eli West and Ben Winship !

Eli, a Seattle-based multi-instrumental musician, is known for his non-traditional improvisation within the traditions of bluegrass and old-time music.

He has released three records as half of the new/old-time duo Cahalen Morrison & Eli West, which tours regularly throughout the US and Europe. Eli also plays guitar, banjo, and bouzouki with both Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project and John Reischman and the Pine Siskens. He also has collaborations with Moira Smiley and Bill Frisell.

For this concert West will be accompanied by Ben Winship, a well respected songwriter, singer and multi instrumentalist, whose gigs have taken him everywhere from Hawaii to Shetland, Anchorage to the Equator with appearances along the way at places like The Telluride Bluegrass Festival , The Strawberry Music Festival, The Vancouver Folk Festival and Prairie Home Companion.

Tim O’Brien says, “Music like this doesn’t come along very often. This stuff just reassures me.”
And “One of the acoustic music scene’s best writers.”
