Carbon Pollution Tax Debate

Past event
Dec 3, 2015, 7 to 9 PM

So you’ve probably been hearing a lot about the proposed tax on carbon pollution. There’s a lot of different information out there – but if you’re interested in hearing an honest discussion about the facts of the proposal check out this debate in Montpelier Thursday:

Paul Burns, Executive Director of VPIRG and Jon Erickson of the Gund Institute of Ecological Economics at UVM will debate Rob Roper and John McClaughry of the Ethan Allen Institute on:

• Whether Vermont has a role to play in addressing global warming and,
• Whether a tax on carbon pollution, when paired with other tax cuts and investments in alternatives to fossil fuels, is a reasonable solution

This event is free for the public with doors opening at 6:30pm at the Capitol Plaza hotel in Montpelier on Thursday, December 3.
