Thought about composting but don’t know where to begin? In a few years, Vermont's Universal Recycling law (Act 148) will ban organics such as food scraps and leaf & yard waste from the landfill. Are you ready? Your questions will be answered on Tuesday, December 15th by the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District (CVSWMD) at the Jeudevine Library in Hardwick at 6:30 PM. CVSWD will bring a slide show to tell you all about the law. Gardening season is winding down, but you can still compost. Compost happens all year round, even if it freezes over the winter. They will offer tips about composting.
