“Tales from the New Haven River Walker” Dec. 10

Past event
Dec 10, 2015, 7:30 to 8:45 PM

New Haven’s next Armchair Naturalist program features UVM Field Naturalist Sonia DeYoung. Sonia's talk is entitled “Tales from the New Haven River Walker.”

In July 2015, Sonia DeYoung walked the length of the New Haven River, from its headwaters in Lincoln to its confluence with Otter Creek in New Haven - about 25 miles. Over six days she met watershed residents of all ages and professions (maybe you met her!) They told her about their lives along the river, invited her into their homes, and opened her eyes to the many ways a river can move us.

Sonia will share her stories from the experience and how it has influenced her graduate work at UVM and her approach to life.

Date, time, location: Thursday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the New Haven Town Office (78 North Street)
