Saturday, Dec. 5, 7 PM is the lighting of the North Danville Christmas Tree in front of the Community Building which, as you know, is the old school. The star this year is being lit in memory of Arlene Hubbard, Molly Newell, Gene Remick, and Alice Hafner. These people were always generous with their time and talents volunteering over the years in the community. The bulbs are lit in memory of loved ones with donations given by many. The reading of the names, carols, and refreshments will be at the North Danville Baptist Church after the Lighting Ceremony. While this is a time of remembering loved ones which can also be a sad time, it also serves as a time to cherish the wonderful memories and be thankful. Hope to see you Saturday evening at 7 PM.
