LRSWMD will be holding its FINAL Household Hazardous Waste event of the year on Saturday, September 28 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at G.W.Tatro, located at the new roundabout in Jeffersonville. This event is free for LRSWMD residents and at a reduced cost to LRSWMD businesses.

Accepted Items include: Pesticides, insecticides, household cleaners, automotive products, pool/hobby chemicals, kerosene, oil-based paints, waste oil, thermostats, thermometers, gasoline, aerosols, paint cleaner products.

Unaccepted Items include: propane tanks, latex paint, medical wastes, medications, alkaline batteries, radioactive materials, empty containers from hazardous products, explosives including ammunition and fireworks.

If you are a Conditional Exempt Generator of Hazardous Materials (less than 220 pounds per month) you should use this collection as a less expensive and more convenient way to dispose of hazardous wastes. Businesses must pre-register by September 20 by phoning the District office at 888-7317. Business waste will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. 9:00a.m. on the day of the collection.
