Saturday November 28th: Silver Saturday. Simple materials, pretty decorations…that’s what this day is about. You know all about Black Friday and the ensuing weekend. If you don’t want to join the legions of rabid Saturday shoppers charging toward (and at) the malls and superstores, spend some time up in the Sargent Room of the library, 9:30 AM-1:30 PM, where there will be tables arrayed with a variety of paper, scissors, glue and other materials, directions and as-needed instruction for handmade holiday décor, from snowflakes to paper hanging ornaments featuring Polish Wycinanki designs.
