On Monday, October 7th the Burlington City Council will vote on a binding resolution to prohibit the basing of the F-35 warplane. This is the best chance to stop the basing. Burlington owns the airport and as landlord can decide how it is used.

The public hearing on the resolution begins at 6:00 pm at Burlington City Hall. Hundreds of people opposed to the F-35 basing from Burlington, Winooski, So. Burlington, Williston, and beyond will ask the City Council to vote for the resolution to bar the basing. This is the best chance to stop the disastrous basing plan.

Bring friends, neighbors, and anyone else you can to stand up for people over planes. Please contact Burlington City Councilors now to ask them to do the right thing and take a stand against sacrificing over 8,000 residents in airport neighborhoods to this plane--and to stand against the backwards priorities the F-35 basing supports. They can pass a binding resolution.
