Discovering Meaning Through Revision: A Writing Workshop
Sunday, December 13; 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Open Sky Studio; 8B Main Street; Bristol, VT

“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less” (Lewis Carroll).

The words we use in our stories and poems might mean what we intend when we write them. The revision process leads to a deeper engagement with our intentions. During this workshop, I will guide the group through exercises geared to rethink and re-envision works-in-progress. Writers are encouraged to bring copies of at least two pieces that they are willing to revise.

Preregistration is required. Workshop fee is $40; $35 if payment is received by December 9. To learn more about the class and to register, email Ruth Farmer at rfarmer@gmavt.net.
