Capital City Concerts presents "A Place on Earth", a professional chamber orchestra concert under the direction of Lou Kosma - a program that celebrates music with a sense of place on Saturday November 21 at 7:30PM at the Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michael's College in Colchester. NYC violinist Laurie Smukler will be the soloist in Vivaldi's Autumn from The Four Seasons, and in Vaughan-Williams 'The Lark Ascending. New York City Ballet principal oboist Randall Wolfgang will be featured in Marcello's Oboe Concerto in c minor. The second half of the program will be Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony #6 for chamber orchestra The overt bird-songs, shepherd's song of Thanksgiving, passing storms, and harvest gatherings will make us feel right at home in Vermont--just in time for the Thanksgiving season.
