---Green Mountain College classes available to high school students and community members. Registration happening now. Fee is $708 for a 3-credit course. Several 1 credit courses are also offered at $236 per credit. ---GMC Events:
• Feick Exhibit Features Paintings of Life-Sized Elephants. Opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, November 13. The Feick is open 1 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Free.
• GMC and Community Concert Band Performance: November 20 at 7 pm in Ackley Hall. Free.
• Global Bizarre and Trashion Show: Explore International Food and Music and Culture, and at 8:30 pm enjoy a fashion show of recycled garments. November 21 at 6 pm in Withey Hall Gorge. Free.
• Annual GMC Holiday Concert. Includes the GMC Choir, string ensemble, and the GMC Festival Brass: Saturday, December 5 at 7 pm in Ackley Hall. Free.
• March 19th is Admitted Student Day / Perspective Student Day at GMC
---Community Events:
• Saturday, November 21, 10am, lights around poles of Main Street, meet between the bank and Vermont Country Store, extra help hanging lights is welcome.
• Christmas Bazaar will be held at the Methodist Church in Poultney on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Open at 9:00 AM and remain open until 3:00 PM. The Main Street Methodist Cafe will be open from 11 AM to 2 PM with their now famous homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts. • Sunday, February 21(Tentative), Rotary Polar Plunge to support Food Shelf, Wells Cupboard, Fair Haven Concerns. – UPDATE: Polar Plunge may take place November 2016 instead.
• Thanksgiving meal, Thursday, November 26, Noon-2pm, Poultney Methodist Chrurch
• January 16, Rutland, Church of the Good Sheppard(Preparing meals for the hungry. Goal is to package 50,000 meals.)
• December 13th: St. David's Society is going to have a "gathering of the clans" breakfast event in West Pawlet. All are welcome. One does not have to be Welsh to join the breakfast crew. For information, please contact Poultney Area St. David's Society - pasds88@yahoo.com.
• April 2nd is Maplefest in Poultney
