All are invited to come to the intersection of State and Main Streets in Montpelier on Friday at noon to participate in a march to mark International Transgender Day of Remembrance. Black armbands will be provided as well as signs that shine a light on the violence experienced by transgender individuals. Groups will cross from corner to corner during the "walk" signal. So far this year, over 20 transgender individuals have been murdered in the U.S. The total number of murders from the years 2008 through 2014 is 108. Please help bring an end to this violence by participating in the November 20 demonstration organized by Rainbow Umbrella of Central VT.
