Visit Pro Pig on Tuesday to Learn More About Going Solar
SunCommon will be hosting a Shine and Dine event on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 6-7:30pm at the Prohibition Pig Brewery for those interested in learning more about Solar Heat and how both can save you money on your utility bills and at no upfront cost!
For anyone who is at all interested in pursuing solar, now is the time to do so for two reasons. First, Vermont Electric Coop is closing the door for residential solar on November 30th! This means there's 3 weeks left to sign-up to go solar as the next opportunity will not be until 2017! For those who use Green Mountain Power, they are also reaching their cap and there's uncertainty if they will continue with residential solar systems as well. The second reason is the Federal Tax Incentive that will pay for 30% of your overall system cost if your system is installed by 2016. Right now solar is at it's cheapest ever! But the closer we get to 2016 the more expensive solar will become with higher demand. So now is the time to sign-up!
Find out more on Tuesday. Some of your neighbors who have gone solar will be there to tell you how they enjoyed the process, as well as some Community Solar Array Members. Those are folks who can't go solar at their own property, but still benefit from solar power. William Northrop from SunCommon will be there to give a presentation and answer your questions about solar and solar heat! Also, if you sign up for a free home visit, your first beer in on SunCommon!
