The next meeting of the former Flood Advisory Committee - now Hazard Mitigation Committee, of Plainfield will be at 5 p.m. onThursday, November 19th, in the Municipal Building's back meeting room.
The agenda is relatively short:
1. Discussion of the hypothetical outcomes for each Committee member, of changing the Committee's name to "Town of Plainfield Hazard Mitigation Committee." This name change and somewhat broadening of mission has been approved by the Plainfield Selectboard.
2. Evaluation of the list of Great Brook flood-mitigation recommendations (and weightings given those recommendations) by Milone and MacBroom.
3. Report on the UVM/Milone & MacBroom woody debris field survey - tentative observations.
4. Minutes of October 17 meeting.
As usual the public is welcome to attend, especially if there are concerns or questions by particular property owners. The meeting will be chaired by Dan Gadd.
