The Colchester School Board will begin the FY’17 budgeting process with two presentations Tuesday evening at the CHS Media Center. Representative David Sharpe, chair of the House Education Committee, will discuss Act 46 and Colchester Superintendent Larry Waters will present a first draft of a “baseline” budget for Colchester schools. A “baseline” budget extends the existing budget with the same staff and programs but factors in contracted salary and benefit increases as well as expected inflation costs.
