“They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re altogether ooky!” The Broadway musical sensation The Addams Family is on stage at Stowe High School November 12 – 14.
Based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, and the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, Stowe High students bring the frightfully delightful world of the Addams Family to spectacular life as Gomez (Henry Dolan), his lovely wife, Morticia (Madelyn Milsark), children Wednesday (Juliana Conte) and Pugsley (Laura Glanz), Grandma (Caitlyn Duff), Gomez’s brother, Fester (Sean Jacobson) and their faithful butler, Lurch (Harry Hunter). The magnificently morbid family is put to the test when Wednesday’s love interest, Lucas Beineke (Graham Taylor) brings his family to dinner, hurling them into a night that will change their lives forever.
Appearing as Lucas’s parents, Mal and Alice Beineke, are Sky Barg and Fiona Reed. The cast is rounded out by a wide array of Addams Family ancestors, who must help the young lovers, convince their families to accept their romance before Fester will allow them to return to their crypt.
Director and Choreographer, Taryn Noelle, and music director, Jane Harissis, have created a glitzy-gloomy production with engaging songs, energetic dance numbers and even a few special effects.
The show takes place at the Stowe Middle/High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $8 for adults and $6 for students. There is also a family ticket available so no family will pay more than $25 to enjoy the show.
