On November 14th, Saturday a very special Native American Pow Wow program for families in Bennington, VT at 520 Main St. Next to Allegro's Italian Restaurant at 1pm. Cultural Educator and Pow Wow regalia artist & craftsman is screening his film INTO THE CIRCLE about pow wow history, traditions, regalia and drumming and dance. Penobscot Sculpture Artist, Tim Shay from Indian Island ME will share his art and Penobscot history. Dr. Ben Huerth, Indian Health Service family physician will also share Winnabago history & culture and speak to the 54 silver plate negative photographs on special exhibit that has never been seen by the public, provided by a Bennington resident, Bob Wilson. 5pm Film Screening of the Awkasene Mohawk Girls LaCrosse Team, special ESPN news segments at the Everett Theater at the Mansion at Southern Vermont College. All Cultural Programs Free - No Admission. A very family friendly and children appropriate activity. Hot Moose stew and cinnamon & mint tea will be served. Special dark chocolate buffalos will be served as well made by our special chocolate shop on Main St. too!!!
