On Sunday, November 15, at 3:00 pm, the Old Labor Hall (46 Granite St) is delighted to be hosting Bread and Puppet Theater's new productions “Underneath the Above Show No. 1 (Inspired by the Forthcoming Presidential Election Campaign in the Greatest Country in the World)”

This one of its touring performances—suitable for the whole family, but may be difficult for younger children.

Underneath the Above Show No. 1 is a puppet show contribution to the ongoing U.S. presidential election campaign, performed by a team of hardhats who manipulate the life-size cardboard electorate. The elementary dissatisfaction of the population and its desire for systemic change are demonstrated in three acts showing 3 regime changes in a distant mountainous country and are in stark contrast to the actuality of the ongoing presidential campaign.

The show may contain one or all of these elements (or something else altogether:

1) 5 or 6 generic truth-relationship dances
2) A public-opinion-manufacture event
3) A collateral damage dance with naked papier-mâché population
4) A traditional broom dance
5) Sermon to the cockroaches with live music

Admission: $12, children 6-11 years old $5, under 6 free. Tickets are available online or at the door. To buy tickets on line, go to http://oldlaborhall.org/union-cooperative-store-online/tickets-bread-and-puppet/
