Traditional Italian Dance Returns to the Old Labor Hall in Barre!

Past event
Nov 13, 2015, 7 to 9 PM

Come learn traditional Italian village dances from many regions of Italy - dances still being done today in small mountain villages throughout Italy. Dances include couple dances, set dances, line dances, and group dances. They are easy enough for beginners and yet challenging for intermediate & advanced dancers. Emphasis will be on dances that represent the culture of the immigrants from Northern Italy to Barre in the early 20th century - dances still being done today by their 21st century cousins in Italy. No partners or previous experience necessary. Dances will be taught by Marie DiCocco and Celest DiPietropaolo, Middlesex residents, who have been researching and teaching traditional Italian village dances for over 30 years and lived in Italy for 3.5 years. Old Labor Hall, 46 Granite Street, Barre. Free, but donations for the Labor Hall accepted. For more info, 229-1490.
