48 degrees and sunshine are forecast for this Sunday... Have you always wanted to just walk in the fresh fall air, but needed a lil motivation? Why not come and join your neighbors as we trot /walk from Donaldson Park on Donaldson Road in Grand Isle through Grand Isle State Park and back on Sunday, November 15th at 12NOON and try your hand at winning a turkey.

Along the 3.1 mile Turkey Trot, each participant will have five chances to draw from a deck of cards and form their best hand. The best poker hand winners take home a turkey, just in time for Thanksgiving cooking. Gobble, gobble.

This is a great route for all of your family members!. Dogs, though not preferred, are welcome, provided they are happy on a leash.
