Open House Sunday 11/8

Hello!

We are happy to announce a new program for girls ages 11–15! Girls Circle is a group of girls ages 11–15 who meet every other Thursday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Wheeler Nature Park in South Burlington (next to Veterans Memorial Park on Dorset Street).

Do you enjoy . . .
Making new friends
Investigating the natural world
Being creative
Engaging in your local community
Exploring questions and curiosity
Gaining life-skills
Finding personal inspiration

Our two hours are filled with fun projects, exploring the park's natural resources, and connecting with friends. We value inclusivity, and so we are very happy to meet new participants! Community connections are also important, and we invite special guests to share skills and activities—dance, yoga, art, nature, and other topics of interest to our participants.

One of our current projects is a documentary film we're making about Wheeler Nature Park and the farmhouse, the three-story brick building where Girls Circle meets. This property has a long and interesting history, and we're having fun investigating historical documents and interviewing people who can tell us more. Girls Circle is a friendly, creative environment, and everyone's ideas for projects and activities are welcome!

Please join us at an Open House to learn more:
Where: Wheeler Nature Park, 1100 Dorset Street, South Burlington VT (at the brick farmhouse where Girls Circle meets)
When: Sunday, November 8 from 12:00-1:30 PM
This will be a chance for interested families to meet program staff, participants, and community mentors to learn more and participate in fun activities.
