Light the Night for Leukemia Lymphoma Society

Past event
Sep 20, 2013, 6 to 9 PM

On Sept. 20, I will be walking in the “Light the Night” event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Over the past year I have become familiar with this organization. Many of the therapies currently in use to cure or remit blood borne cancers were developed with their support.

This is from their web page:

We are living in an extraordinary moment. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is on the brink of incredible breakthroughs that have already begun to change the lives of thousands of patients; treatments that can manage a person's condition with a daily pill, therapies that seek out cancer cells and kill them, and the use of a patient's own immune system to eradicate cancer not someday, but today.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds those treatments.

We would love to have your support, either by donating or by joining the team and walking. The donation is a fixed amount, not per mile, that will be collected prior to the walk. The walk is a public event that begins at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at Memorial Auditorium. You can support the walk by entering your name and amount on the adjacent sheet, or by going to the web page shown below.
