Check out EarthWalk’s Teen WILD program—a monthly weekend overnight program just for teens.
What: Guided by EarthWalk Teen WILD mentors, teenagers gather together on seven weekends during the school year to learn and to connect with one another and the land. Fall activities include nature journaling, sharing stories, building fires, collecting materials to craft natural rope, making spoons, identifying and preparing wild foods to savor and share. Our February weekend will feature wildlife tracking and building and sleeping in a snow quinzhee (shelter).
When: Saturday, November 14th from 10am to Sunday November 15th until Noon. Future 2016 Teen WILD weekends include: February 20-21 (Snow Quinzhee Overnight), April 16-17, May 21-22, June 11-12.
Where: Hawthorn Meadow on the campus of Goddard College, Plainfield, Vermont
Who: All teens aged 13 to 17 are welcome, regardless of experience. Spaces are limited to 12.
Cost: Try a weekend for $150, or join us for three or more weekends at $140 per weekend. Some scholarships are available.
