Join the Jericho Energy Task Force on Saturday, November 7 for a DIY Weatherization Workshop at the Community Center in Jericho. The workshop will go from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. but no one is obligated to stay for the full time. Among the topics we'll be covering are:
- Principles of Home Energy
- Buttoning Up: How to identify air leaks and take simple measures to make your home cozy.
- Learning by Doing: Guided hands on assistance to the Community Center doing some weatherizing and air sealing.
This workshop is open to beginners and experts alike. Through this hands-on experience you'll be helping the Community Center as well as learning ways to make your own home ready for winter. We will focus on air gaps in the entryway and the two main rooms of the building. This work will complement the Energy Efficiency work that was completed on the Community Center earlier this year.
There is NO COST for this workshop, which is sponsored by the Jericho Energy Task Force, the Community Center in Jericho, Jericho Center Preservation Association, Jim Bradley of Caleb Contracting, Efficiency Vermont and Capstone Community Action.
