The Ferrisburgh Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Sunday, November 8, at 2:00 p.m. at the Center School, Ferrisburgh's former town clerk's office at the corner of Little Chicago Road and Route 7.

Guest speakers Silas Towler and Lisa Patton will share stories with slides of their coastal adventures aboard their 30-foot homemade sloop, the Coot. The main focus of the talk will be Towler and Patton's 2014 trip to the Bay of Fundy.

The Coot is a custom-designed steel-hulled vessel built by Towler. "It's what I did with my spare time in the 80's," he explains.
