Shoreham Troopers in the First Vermont Cavalry
Join us for a Civil War cavalry evening
with Tim Short

Tim is the unit commander of Civil War reenacting group Company K, 1st Vermont Cavalry, which was historically drawn largely from Addison County and saw action of many battles. Five members of the unit are memorialized on the monument on the common 'Erected by the Town of Shoreham in honor of her patriotic dead who fell during the rebellion of 1861.'
Tim has done research on the Civil War in preparation for his reenacting events and has looked into the Company K veterans from Shoreham. He and his son Lewis will bring and discuss cavalry equipment and weapons.
Light refreshments will be served. The evening will begin with a brief meeting of the Shoreham Historical Society.
