Join Angelo Marinakis for a 3 hour seminar that will introduce you to the fun and exciting sport of Disc Dogging! This workshop is will teach you how to safely exercise your dog’s body and mind with disc play and give you an introduction into the Toss and Fetch competition format.

Handler Skills
• Safety considerations and equipment
• Disc handling skills – rollers, backhand and forehand releases.
Canine Skills
• Building drive.
• Disc tracking, eye contact, biting and dropping the disc on cue.
• Leaping cleanly and safely.
• Shifting focus / targeting using multiple discs.
Team Skills
• Retrieval games.
• Directional patterns.
• Over the body games.
• Introduction to Toss and Fetch.

Cost: $80 per dog/human team. Space limited to 6 teams.

Angelo Marinakis is a member of Team Hero Disc USA. He is the 2011 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Eastern U.S. Champion, a three time USDDN World Finalist, a five time USDDN National Finalist, and the 2009 and 2010 Vermont State Champion. His team of canine athletes – Stanley, Fire, Joe, Stella and Vinnie perform regularly at Smuggler’s Notch Resort, The University of Vermont and for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. Angelo lives in South Hero, VT with his wife Christine and their pack of 6 dogs.
