LAST CALL FOR GAME OF LOGGING WORKSHOP THIS WEEKEND!
Cold Hollow to Canada (CHC) and Vermont Coverts are sponsoring a day-long workshop for folks to learn chainsaw safety and skills in Enosburgh on Saturday, November 7th from 8 am to 4 pm.
Game of Logging Level 1 is an introductory level which provides an overview of chain saw safety and covers basic tree felling. You will actually fell a tree with the instructor during this workshop! The workshop will be taught by Northeast Woodland Training who specialize in teaching this world-recognized training curriculum for working safely around trees.
Subsequent levels will be offered later this spring so that participants may build their skill level and learn special techniques for various management practices of interest on your property. By listening to explanations, watching demonstrations, and then practicing techniques, participants come away with better work habits and greater confidence in their ability to safely fell trees and work in the woods.
