Have you marked your calendar for the Shelburne Rescue Open House? The Rescue Squad presently has nearly 50 members. That’s not bad. However, it becomes a potential problem because only one third of those members are Shelburne residents. That’s an over-reliance on people from other communities to help us remain in service at all times. These members from other communities are without a doubt extremely valuable to the squad. Their contributions are apparent every day, and we would be at a loss without them. But we do need to get the percentage of squad members who are Shelburne residents back up over the 50% mark. The Open House is a good time to start.
Whether as prospective Drivers or EMT’s, we invite you to our Open House next Saturday morning. We’ll provide the training needed to become a full-fledged member of the squad.
The time: Saturday November 7, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
The place: 154 Turtle Lane (just off Harbor Road, directly across from Davis Park).
We hope to see you there.
