CVSWMD will be giving a presentation called "Recycling 101" at the Chelsea Grange Hall next Tuesday, Nov 3 - the event is free and open to the public.
Did you know that recycling is now more convenient than ever in Vermont? Vermont’s Recycling & Composting initiative, part of Act 148, has provisions to make recycling simple, and accessible to everyone. And now that recyclables are banned from the landfill, it’s important to know what goes in the recycling bin, and what DOESN’T. What does this mean for you, your organization or your business? Find out in this presentation by Cassandra Hemenway of the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District. Cassandra will give an overview about how recycling works in Vermont, what goes in and stays out of your recycling bin and then provide tips and ideas for making recycling simple and easy in your own home. Cassandra can also answer questions about home composting, and how to divert food scraps from the landfill as well. If you already recycle and want to do more, you will come away with some information about that as well.
Come with your questions!
