FINAL REMINDER FOR THE BIRCHCLIFF NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY

Please be here in the middle of Bittersweet Lane from noon to 2PM on Saturday. Expect wonderful conversation with and potluck treats from your neighbors; great pizza from Leonardo’s supported by neighborhood bottle drives and Leonardo’s and several neighbors’ generosity; prizes for best costumes (O-5 years old, 6-11 years, 12-17 years, and over 18-years-old), best carved pumpkins, maximum and minimum duration of residency in the “hood”, and for just showing up. Kind people and generous firms, including New World Tortilla, St. John’s Club, Ben and Jerry’s, Myer’s Bagels, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Automaster, Greer’s Dry Cleaning, Keurig Green Mountain Coffee, Spot, Queen City Brewery and Noyes Tires have donated these prizes.

Our distinguished judging team will be led by Sofia Iwobi, SEO and SEM Analyst with Curve Trends Marketing in Burlington and a member of UVM’s only women’s basketball team to win an NCAA tournament game. Her judging team colleagues will be two of our newest neighbors living at the north end of Bittersweet Lane, Carmen Cormier and David Lansky.

Any carved pumpkin entries must be checked in by 1PM and the costume parade will start promptly at 1:15PM. Door prize winners, as well, must have “officially registered” and be present at the drawing at 1:30PM.

This party will be fun and the planning committee members looks forward to seeing you!
