GEOPHYSICIST PAUL WAGENHOFER WILL SPEAK ABOUT “THE GREENING OF ENERGY – THE TRANSITION FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO RENEWABLES” AT THE WARREN LIBRARY ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, AT 7:00 P.M.

This presentation is designed for those who are interested in acquiring a basic understanding of the efforts currently underway to shift our energy needs from fossil fuels to renewable and greener energy sources. Sound energy policy needs to recognize the world as it is, and offer pragmatic alternatives to our energy demands. The only way policies can reflect reality is for us to acknowledge our dependence on fossil fuels, the scale of our usage, and its impact on the environment; and then we must develop the willingness to switch to renewables to alleviate a dire global environmental crisis.

Presenter Paul Wagenhofer has lived and worked in Norway, Indonesia, England, Thailand, Australia, China, and New Zealand. Additional travel also took him to Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, and Tunisia. His interest in energy transcends the petroleum industry.

AS AN ARDENT BELIEVER IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND GLOBAL WARMING, Paul recognizes the urgency of transitioning our energy needs from fossil fuels to renewable and environmentally friendly sources. Join us for an illustrative presentation and discussion on where our energy comes from, just how much of it we use, and how the shift to greener energy sources is progressing.

Warren Public Library: 413 Main Street, Warren, Vermont. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
