There will be an informational meeting on the potential Elmore-Morristown Unified Union on October 28th at 6:00pm at the Elmore Town Hall. Residents of Elmore and Morristown should attend as it effects the future of our children and our concerns as taxpayers.

This merger is being voted on in both Morristown and Elmore on November 3rd and it was clear from tonight's meeting in the Morristown Elementary School that residents of both towns do not understand all of the details of the proposed merger.

Residents from both towns asked questions like:
Will Elmore taxes decrease? Yes.
Will Morristown taxes increase? Yes.
What will the future look like for the Elmore School? It is uncertain but the community is invested in its future...
Will students in Elmore lose their current school choice option in grades 7-12? Yes, unless currently enrolled in school choice now.

Be sure to attend the meeting to get all of your questions answered, this is a very big issue that effects all of us and it is very clear from the meeting that residents do not understand the details of such a merger.
