Peoples Academy's award-winning drama troupe presents the family favorite “The Wizard of Oz,” a musical extravaganza based on “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum. PA High School drama students bring to life the plucky troupe of friends Dorothy Gale, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, chronicling their determined journey to see the Wizard of Emerald City. “The Wizard of Oz” will be performed at 7:00pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 12, 13 & 14 in the PA Auditorium. Admission is by donation with all proceeds benefiting the Peoples Academy Stage Company. Refreshments will be available during intermission.

The performance includes the jazzy “The Jitterbug,” a song sung by Dorothy with the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion, that was deleted from the 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz.”
